...sitting around watching the bumpers rust.

inFrequently Asked Questions (iFAQ)

"What do you guys do?"
We thought that was self-explanatory. We sit around and watch bumpers rust. It is our pastime, our hobby, our raison d'être.

"No, I mean really, what is NURBO all about?"
We'll explain it again. We sit around and watch the bumpers rust. If you don't believe that, consider that our name might be a ruse, a misdirection of sorts. Yeah, that's it. Maybe in reality we are a growing collective of free spirits who fly under the RADAR and engage in a variety of fun activities, possibly ranging from urban spelunking to wilderness barbeques or perhaps midnight walks and maker parties. Or maybe we just sit on the porch and watch the bumpers rust after all.

"Is NURBO a social organization or club?"
Yes.

"I don't see a member application. How can I find out more and join?"
We don't publicize our comings and goings, and there is no application. NURBO is a private group with an invitation-only membership.

"How big is your organization?"
We don't share membership details.

"I have a '62 Dodge stake bed and its bumper is rusting. Can I join?"
Possibly, though you do not need your own rusting bumper. A NURBO member will need to find or spot you at-large, ascertain whether or not you'll fit in, and bring the matter to NURBO leadership before a membership is offered. A '62 stake bed? Say, a NURBO member wants to know if that was you who dropped off the truckload of hippies at the El Cerrito Plaza shopping center ca. Summer of 1967.
